We need your votes to find out who is the greatest Scottish Motorsport Hero. From F1 drivers to WRC champions, Scotland has produced some fantastic driving talent.

There must be something about the highland air, but for a country of just over five million people, Scotland certainly has made its mark in the motorsport world.

Five F1 World championships have gone to drivers from north of the border and it has also spawned a three-time Indy 500 winner and perhaps the most famous World Rally Championship driver of all time, Colin McRae.

It is an impressive record, and we are on a mission to uncover the most beloved driver who has sported the Saltire on their quest for motorsport success.

Motorsport News editor Matt James explains: “In almost every branch of motorsport, Scottish drivers have blazed a trail for overseas racers. We are on a mission to uncover our favourite, and it is a really hard choice.

“Slimming down the candidates was tough enough, but we have tried to include drivers from a variety of series and those who have truly made their mark. To make your selection, simply click on the pictures below. The results will be published in MN on March 3.”
