ULTIMATE STREET CAR Aug 3rd-5th 2012 – Fast Cars, Great Music, Good Times!
Few events become legendary in their own lifetime, but Santa Pod’s festival of all things fast, fun and frisky has done just that.
And this year Ultimate Street Car has managed to add even more acts and attractions into the mix, to make it the most excessive, obsessive and downright impressive show on four wheels!
If you’ve never been before, let us enlighten you with how it all goes down…
The finest drag strip in Europe. 35,000 modifying dis ciples. The UK’s most superbly executed show cars and the best entertainment, DJs and tuners.
Yup, no other show packs as much into three days, with true heads-up quarter mile action playing out against a backdrop of high-octane antics that will see you partying hard into the early hours.
Top level drag racing is the order of the day, with Euro Sports Compact drivers battling it out in the kind of times that humble even the most desirable of supercars.
Or, if you prefer, why not wander over to the Live Action Arena where Team Maximum lock have added science and art to the skill of going sideways in one of the most impressive displays of driving you will ever see!
The Live Action Arena also acts as home to the spectacular sight of UKFMX defying physics and the call of A&E to demonstrate the UK’s most spectacular Freestyle Motocross. Multiple Guinness World Record holder Terry Grant will doubtless be similarly impressive on 4 wheels to show why he’s the ‘go to’ wheelman for the World’s auto manufacturers.
The line-up of DJs and music acts has long been a great reason to visit the show, and this year’s line-up must rank as one of the best yet. Three music zones, amazing light shows, hot dancers and awesome tunes make it the perfect venue to bring your mates, get a three-day ticket and have a weekend-long party! B2T featuring Slipmatt will be taking over the Big Top on Friday followed on Saturday by Random Concept with Fabio & Grooverider.
A banging Pendulum DJ Set kicks off the Main Stage on Friday with a Modestep DJ Set on Saturday. Santa Pod regular and MTV favourite, DJ Richie Don, unleashes his own brand of dance, dubstep and dirty bass-lines on Friday with a Foam Party on Saturday.
Of course, elsewhere on site, there are simply acres of space for club camping, hardcore BBQ action and chance to kick back with a cold beer and recant your tales of quarter-mile heroics.
Stock up before you arrive, and you’re free to park up the motor and seriously over-indulge for the entire weekend as everything you need is on site, with several bars and even a lap-dancing club!
Sprinkle on a side order of live stage, Sound-off events, mobile dyno, burnout and flameout comps and the Autoglym showcar paddock and pretty soon, it becomes the ultimate road trip weekend away. You’ll kick yourselves if you miss it, so don’t!
