Welcome to this week’s FC Throwback, where we take a look back at some of our favourite previous feature cars. This week it’s Amar and Haps’ juiced VW Polo’s from back in 2013…

juiced vw polos

It’s been a while since we featured a sorted Polo, so when our mates Amar and Haps gave us a call to tell us about two of the finest Polo’s on the planet we couldn’t believe our luck!

Haps is no stranger to the pages of Fast Car. It was only a couple of years ago that we featured his juiced Mk5 Fiesta on banded steelies and now he’s back, bigger and badder than before! With the Fiesta gone, he quickly moved into to the world of vee-dubs! After a short lived affair with a VW Bora he then changed motors again and bagged himself a tidy, stock Polo GTi.

As with all of his cars, the Polo wasn’t destined to stay untouched and in no time at all got stuck in hard with the mods.

Around the same time there was another show-stopping Polo being built. Amar is fairly new to the world of modifying but that’s not stopped him jumping in, all guns blazing. First off he fitted a pair of smoothed 16v bumpers and finished them off with a set of Mk4 Golf US markers. Up front he’s added a carbon fibre skinned 6N2 GTi front splitter which makes it look double hard when he’s rolling down the mean streets of Hayes!

Haps has treated his Polo to just as much smoothing with both front and rear bumpers having been rid of their bump strips and towing eyes for a fresh and clean finish. Even the petrol flaps have been smoothed off – nice touch!

When it came to sorting out colours for the cars the two lads have gone for bright and bold! The cars were dropped off with Joe Ninety Bodyworks where Haps had his finished off in his own custom mixed blue, while Amar had sweet Canyon Red paint laid down over every inch of his little dub. With the exterior sorted it was time to get the VW’s suitably dropped!

Both Haps and Amar agree that juice is the future, and everyone knows the man to go to for hydraulics is Uncle Ray! A pair of Rayvern Hydraulics’ kits later and the motors are decked hard on the floor.

Both cars have been sorted out with the finest classic rims money can buy. Haps is running a set of staggered BBS RM012 wheels that have been finished with a pearl white face and some pretty vicious looking gold spike bolts! Amar has gone for OZ Turbos on his Polo and combined them with custom made centre caps, gold bolts and colour coded centres – sweet!

The interiors on these two builds couldn’t be any more different. Amar has combined 6N2 GTi leather seats with a Mk3 Golf centre console and Audi armrest which adds a touch of class to the Polo’s innards. There are plenty of trick touches too, such as red GTi seatbelts and a custom made housing for the all important hydro switches.

Haps has gone for a colour clash by filling his with bright cherry red nappa leather and black stitching. To finish them off, both cars have been fitted with Momo steering wheels and given a healthy dose of audio to sort out the tunes.

So there we have it folks. Two of the finest looking Polos to grace our planet both in one place. Chances are you’ll be spotting these two rolling out to all the shows this season so be sure to check them out in the flesh!
