I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of the winter months. It’s freezing outside, it’s ages until show season, but worst of all my insurance runs out. Yep, just what I need after the expensive festive season.
Usually I put off sorting my renewal to the last minute, but this year I thought I’d be more organised and have a ring around to get some quotes. I’ve been with Adrian Flux for a long time now, but I thought it was still worth a shop around.
However, after a few hours of talking to clueless call centres I kind of wished I hadn’t bothered. As soon as I mentioned my future project plans for the A6, the premiums rocketed and one company said they wouldn’t even insure me because they ‘don’t really do tuned or modified cars’. The funniest however, was a company that thought a free stuffed animal would sway me, even though their quote was nearly 70% higher than that of Adrian Flux. Errr… no thanks.
So with that I did what I should have done in the first place, yep called Adrian Flux. As usual renewing my modified car insurance was dead simple. The amazing quote they offered originally still stood and they also said my future build plans would be no problem to cover as well. Also, unlike most insurance companies, they actually knew what I was talking about when it came to mods. Adrian Flux, I don’t know what I’d do without you…
