The new Honda Civic Type R FL5 hasn’t been out for five minutes, but brake giants EBC have just announced a new range of high-performance kits, from braided lines to fully floating two-piece rotors for Honda’s latest hot Civic.

Rotors Upgrade [Front Axle Only]
EBC’s ultimate rotor upgrade boasts fully-floating 350x32mm two-piece discs that allow the outer ring to expand freely in response to heat. They offer a 1.8kg weight saving on each corner over OE and the unique ‘Swept Groove’ slot design helps evacuation of braking dust and gases whilst ensuring good initial bite on brake application. Additionally, they also feature EBC’s thermic black corrosion-resistant finish. Overall, an ideal upgrade for road, track, and race use.
EBC Pad Upgrades
It’s no secret that EBC make some of the best pads on the market and they have added the FL5 to their fitment range of Yellowstuff and Bluestuff NDX pads. Both are suitable for fast street and track day use, with the latter being more suited to the regular track day goer. If you’re looking to take your Civic FL5 Type R racing, EBC have you covered with their hardcore RP-1 and RP-X pads, too.
Stainless Steel Braided Lines
Featuring a stainless-steel braided exterior that prevents a phenomenon known as ‘ballooning’, these lines help prevent the spongey feel of OE rubber lines and provide greater precision and feel under braking.
