Motorsport News is on the hunt for its National Rally Driver of the Year and it needs your help. Vote now for your winner!

While the headline classes in national rallying in the UK might have struggled to shine in 2023, there was a huge breadth of talent which tackled some of the most popular series on the British Isles over the course of the last season.

There have been championships claimed in every way possible, from dominant drivers to those who have had to go down to the final few yards to crown their seasons with silverware.

Former winner William Creighton has shone on the international stage this season, and there are a number of drivers in his slipstream who have been equally impressive. From young drivers who are making their way in the sport to those who are the established benchmarks, there is a wide array of talent to select from.

While those who are able to tame the Rally2 and R5 machines might have grabbed the major titles and written most of the headlines in 2023, there is a healthy regional structure and the nature of the class structure in the mixed-surface discipline gives those without the deep pockets to perform miracles too, and all are recognized in our shortlists.

MN editor Matt James said: “This has been a very strong season for the leading national championships in the UK and this has been the case on the mainland and in Northern Ireland too.

“As well as the established stars, there are a host of young pretenders breathing new life into rallying and the future looks strong. Our hand-picked list of National Rally Driver of the Year nominees demonstrates that there is talent in abundance throughout the country. Good luck with making your selection.”

The voting for the 2023 Motorsport News National Rally Driver of the Year will stay open throughout most of the month of November, and the winners will be announced in our special issue which will hit the newsstands on November 30.
