The Fast X trailer has gone live on YouTube! Here’s our first impressions of the 10th Fast & Furious movie.

These days, it’s easy to get put off of the Fast & Furious franchise. Whether it be the cringey references to ‘family’, the stupid, physics-defying stunt scenes, or increasingly convoluted plot. However, despite all of those caveats, we always get a bit excited when a new Fast & Furious movie trailer drops.

For the franchise’s tenth installment, Dom & the gang are back to face a new foe – Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the son of Hernan Reyes. Yep, remember him? He was the Brazilian villain that Hobbs executed way back in Fast 5. Now though, practically a decade later, that bank vault heist has finally caught up with Hollywood’s fastest family.

With Dante seeking revenge, the gang embark on another globetrotting mission, full off the sort of high-stakes stunts that audiences have come to either love or hate. Interestingly though, there does at least appear to be an element of street racing involved too. For instance, we catch a glimpse of Dom and Dante going head to head in a race alongside a yellow Pandem-kitted Datsun Fairlady Z, and a green Porsche 911 GT3. Dom’s iconic black Dodge Charger makes a return of course, while Dante’s ‘hero car’ appears to be a purple Chevrolet Impala.

Other cars featured in the trailer include an orange Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT, a gold Lamborghini Gallardo (presumably Roman’s) and a Ford Fairlane. We even spotted a Nissan Silvia S15, Mitsubishi Evo XI and Skyline GT-R R33 amidst the street racing scenes – but don’t expect those to be anything more than set decoration. Oh, and John Cena’s character has an El Camino… with rocket launchers attached to it?

How to watch Fast X

Fast X arrives in cinemas on May 19 2023, but if you’d rather watch a car movie with a better understanding of physics, make sure to give the upcoming Gran Turismo film a chance! Watch the teaser trailer for that, here.
