Real life has been getting in the way, but that hasn’t stopped our Jules from dreaming big (and we’re not necessarily talking food)…

I’ve had a very busy few months. Unfortunately the busyness has had nothing to do with car modifications and everything to do with moving house and other mundane life tasks. This means my grand winter plans for the E92 have had to be put on hold. But as I type these words I’m sitting in MStyle’s showroom while they show my car some much–needed TLC.

On the to-do list is a general service to get rid of all those lovely warning symbols on the iDrive system, and the dreaded yearly MoT. Obviously these aren’t the most exciting jobs, so to readdress the balance I’m also getting them to fit an induction system to the car. Which will not only help the performance but make the N54 sound that bit more fruity. Not only this but as it’s made from carbon fibre it’ll make the engine look a lot more like the 450bhp lump it actually is.

I’ve had to fork out for insurance and tax at a combined cost of over £1,000 this month too, so the old wallet has taken a right old battering. Ouch!

Still with all the warning lights extinguished, the car given a fresh bill of health and the fact it is taxed and tested for another year, means I’m ready to start all the fun jobs in time for the fast approaching show season.
