The largest performance car show in the UK looks set to be bigger and better than ever before, with a record number of club cars booked in at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday, September 25th

Opening its doors this weekend, TRAX is the country’s biggest celebration of performance cars and car culture, and will play host to over 4,000 club exhibits, beating last year’s record. Hundreds of privately exhibited cars will also be on display, along with some very special themed areas.

Chief among these will be a special exhibition to promote The Fast Car Festival, a brand new event from the promotors of TRAX, which made its debut this year at Donington Park. The Fast Car Festival attracted over 6,000 guests in its first ever year and returns to the same venue on the weekend of July 1st and 2nd, 2017.

Already confirmed for this stand at TRAX is McLaren’s 650S and its predecessor, the 12C, along with some all-time rally icons joining the display. These include the Lancia Delta Integrale and twin-cam Mk1 Ford Escort, whose most fabled victory came in the 1970 London to Mexico rally, leading Ford to build the famous Mk1 Mexico.

Other attractions at TRAX include track action on the Silverstone Circuit, tyre-shredding drift demos from the British Drift Championship and the opportunity for guests to unleash their inner racing driver with public track time, sponsored by Toyo Tyres.

Static displays, from the Fast Car Car Culture Collection, starring some of the magazine’s star feature cars, to an all-new exhibition for 2016, the TRAX Legends display, will also be a big draw. This special exhibit will celebrate the very best race and trackday machinery from across the decades right up to the present day!

There will also be a massive Retail Village packed with car-related parts, accessories, clothing and much more, with some exclusive show discounts.

A series of awards will be up for grabs, with a Best Wheels trophy backed by Wheel Whores and the event’s premium ‘Show & Shine’, featuring some of the country’s most breath-taking performance cars.

TRAX has grown to become one of Silverstone’s biggest events, and one of its largest public track days, after starting out as a club meeting over 20 years ago.

Thousands of tickets have already been sold, so grab yours fast and get along to the ultimate action-packed, high octane way to round off the show season. To find out more, go to the TRAX website
