The largest performance car show in the UK looks set to be bigger and better than ever before, with a record number of club cars booked in at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday, October 1st. Here’s ten reasons why you would be a fool to miss it!
1. Car Culture Collection by Fast Car with VIBE Audio
The Car Culture Collection is a display of the coolest, biggest, baddest and loudest car cultures which make up the UK’s modified scene. They’ll be over 100 feature-worthy cars on display! Plus, our friends and Car Culture Collection Sponsors VIBE Audio will joining us on the display with the VIBE Bass Tunnel, their #truckme selfie competition and the soundtrack to this year’s display.
2. Drift Demonstrations from the BDC
The British Drift Championship will be at TRAX with full throttle sessions throughout the day. Expect to see fast-paced and unhinged backwards entries into the first corner, then it will be foot to the floor with wings in the doors as these guys smoke their tyres to the canvas while battling it out around the circuit.
3. Club Displays
Clubs are the heart and soul of TRAX! The quality and variety on display is unrivalled, so expect an incredible turnout featuring everything from stripped out track weapons to the very latest performance and tuned motors. Plus we’ll be crowning the Club of the Show – will it be your favourite?
4. Show and Shine Awards sponsored by ValetPRO
Show & Shine sponsored by ValetPRO brings together the best examples of the UK’s best cars. You’ve been sending in your entries all year and our team has selected the Top 20 from an impeccably-detailed rebuild, quarter-mile demon or a highly-tuned track weapon, you’re guaranteed to be impressed.
5. Win a Car
This year we’re giving you the chance to drive away in one of the best sports cars ever made the Honda S2000! The Fast Car team have been busy adding their personal modification and they finally have to let it go at TRAX when we draw the winner. Head over to the ‘Win a Car’ tent for your final chance to enter!
6. Toyo Tires Live Action Arena
Head over to the Toyo Tires Live Action Arena where you’ll have the chance to get behind the wheel of a 165bhp Caterham and put your drifting skills to the test! You’ll be eased in gently with a demo from a professional racing driver before you go it alone, challenge the drift course, and take on the challenge of a timed lap shootout. The Fuel Girls will also be entertaining the crowds throughout the day with live performances!
7. Monster Truck Rides
At TRAX we don’t just have one Live Action Arena but two! In our second Live Action Arena we will be hosting awesome monster trucks rides in the The Mac Tools Cruiser! Climb aboard and get strapped into one of the specially designed safety seats as the driver takes you on a thrilling ride! Rides cost just £10 per person.
8. 200mph Club Display
Brand new to TRAX 2017 is the 200mph Club sponsored by EBC Brakes, a paddock honouring the machinery that has gone upwards of 200mph, whether in standard form or heavily modified. The 200mph Club will see SuperCars joining the TRAX line-up for the first time ever in their own dedicated zone!
9. Vertical Trix Wheelie Machine
As if you need another excuse to head over to the Car Culture Collection at TRAX the guys at Vertical Trix will be bringing their twin head to head wheelie machine. This is your chance to get behind the wheel of a motorbike and experience the thrill of pulling a wheelie while the in-built VIBE Audio sound system blasts out your background soundtrack.
10. Track Action
TRAX is the place to be to put your car through its paces on track. Whether you’re lucky enough to be driving on the famous Silverstone tarmac or simply spectating from the stands, there is plenty of high-octane action for you to enjoy throughout the day. Take your car on track for just £35 but space is limited and sells out quick, so don’t miss out!
