TUNING
13.5.litre, Sonny’s Automotive Racing (S.A.R.) designed for IHRA Pro Stock; built around a CN ‘solid’ aluminium billet block (no water jackets); ‘stepped’ nitrous liners; Sonny Bryant billet crank and BME aluminium connecting rods; SAR Hemi Heads with T&D rockers; PSI springs and titanium valves – the cam provides for a massive 1.250 lift and it’s fair to say it’s a little unforgiving on valve springs! SAR custom fabricated aluminium intake with 2 x 4 barrel ‘split’ Dominators with the extra power adder of ‘Speedtech’ fogger nozzles with ‘Wilson’ Pro Flow nitrous/fuel solenoids (capable of around 700bhp) by Clive Bond; exhaust system by ARRC, with custom fabricated headers (2.75” primaries) 5” main pipes and BORLA silencers; Cooling (for the heads only) is by Pace with a Meziere remote pump while engine and transmission oil cooling is by Clive Bond. Transmission The best on the planet by Rossler’s, Girard, Ohio. 210, 3 speed with a dedenbear bellhousing. Coupled to a Chance 10” bolt-together converter, courtesy of Carl Rossler. CHASSIS
ARRC 4130 chrome moly tube to SFI 25.1E. Mark Williams aluminium 9in rear axle assembly and prop shaft; Strange half shafts; Precision rear gear, ratio 3.00 (we’re on our 6th ratio); front suspension is custom Strange struts by Andy Robinson and Strange; front brakes: two-piston Strange set-up. Rear brakes: Citroen BX calipers and Mercedes discs; Rear wheels: 15x15in Weld Magnum Pro twin beadlock with 21.5x15x33 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros or Hoosier Quick Times – ‘proper’ treaded tyres. Front wheels are 4.5×15 Magnum Pro’s with M/T Front Runners for racing; Weld Pro Stars and Michelins for the street.

INTERIOR
rear wheel tubs and the custom carbon-fibre dash by ARRC/DRE; ‘Dakota Digital’ Speedo bezel by ARRC with reproduction radio cassette by Classic Chevy International; all other vital functions for oil temperature, transmission oil temperature and rev counter all by Autometer; ARRC aluminium seats covered by Neil Tadman ’56’ seat covers – an anniversary gift from Ann-Marie! Black carpet foot-well mats by ARRC; Original headlining and interior courtesy light.

EXTERIOR
Body is original, steel VIN plated 1956 210 Sedan. GRP front end, boot lid and doors; carbon and Kevlar removable lower rear quarters (for rear wheel changes); lexan side windows, front and rear moulded polycarbonate screens by ARRC/DRE.
