JL’s best selling amp range is back and the new generation looks so damn good we’d go so far as betting our last cheese and onion pasty that these will fly off the shelves at nothing less than a crazy old rate of knots! It’s hardly surprising either; when you’ve spent years developing a reputation for the finest quality gear like JL audio, the results really do speak for themselves! Let’s take a closer look here at the new Slash 300/1v3 (A/B Class) 4-channel and 600/1v3 (Class D) monoblock.

As we’ve come to expect from one of the world’s top audio brands the new generation of Slash v3 amps not only does the business when it comes to sound quality and sheer stopping power, but they look pretty damn special too. Whether it’s the sleek simplicity of design, the powder coated cast alloy heat sink and end caps or the fact that the whole lot’s finished in a moody black on black; there’s absolutely nothing not to like here. I mean, even our Jules loves ’em, and he’s fussy as fook!
The monoblock in particular is more endowed than most in the signal processing department, featuring a full set of variable infrasonic filters and a parametric bass EQ. Both models also benefit from advanced roll-back thermal protection designed to keep your music pumping even under the most demanding conditions. Advanced Class D circuitry in the 600/1v3 enables it to churn out 20 percent more power than the previous generation; a whopping 600-watts RMS. JL’s unique ‘Absolute Symmetry’ Class A/B circuit in the 300/1v3 delivers an equally impressive 75-watts per channel (or 150-watts if you’re bridging two units) all with unrivalled fidelity and reliability. To keep the power flowing smoothly both come with JL’s R.I.P.S. (Regulated Intelligent Power Supply) technology which is almost mythical in its ability to maintain consistent power over a wide range of load, impedances and vehicle supply voltages. In other words – it’s a bloody clever bit of kit!
