RAUH-Welt Begriff Number One
RAUH-Welt Begriff is one of the coolest tuners in the world. I know this because I’ve just spent the last couple of days researching the Tokyo-based – yes, Tokyo, not German – company responsible for these wide-arched 911 masterpieces just like the one sitting beautifully on these pages.
Everything about the company is insanely trick, even the name – which, roughly translated from German, means rough-world style/concept – is cool. That’s the company owner Nakai-san’s Porsche-building philosophy.
Nakai is what us British folk would call an eccentric. He sleeps until midday, in a den at the back of his garage, and works until the early hours. All he needs is the shape of a 911 to be inspired for the entire day.
