Reading Jap Meet
The Reading Jap Meet has been running for as long as we can remember, and every third Tuesday it turns Reading Retail gate into a mini Tokyo.
Boasting more horse power than race day at Ascot, it’s now established itself as one of the biggest monthly meets in the UK – meaning it was well over a due a visit from Fast Car.
Now the Reading Jap meet has always attracted a real chilled out friendly crowd, so don’t turn up with the intention of ragging it about in a beat up old Ricer or you will be laughed all the way out of town. Instead turn up, chill out, and meet some like minded Jap car lovers.
So what about the police? Well believe it or not the Police around Reading are sound as a pound and have left the meet alone for years.
Over the years the meet has been through a few organisers’ hands, but none as soft as those of its latest organiser, Lou. She’s done a blinding job of keeping the event alive, so a big Fast Car thumbs up to her!
If you fancy going, it’s held on every third Tuesday at Reading Retail Gate, Junction 11 of the M4 at 7.30pm.
There’ll be a full report on the above meet in Fast Car Magazine soon, but till then check out some of our favourite shots from the night.
