Carl Taylor’s modified Volkswagen Mk3 Golf

Carl and his Colour Concept modified Mk.3 Golf encapsulate everything that’s great about UK car culture. After building what was arguably the first balls-out modified Mk3 VW Golf nearly ten years ago, Mr Taylor has co-founded the Players Show.

He has built a string of controversial show cars, from a mental Baileys Irish Creamthemed Mk.5 Golf, to a silly bright yellow Audi S4 and a crazy cow-camouflage wrapped Caddy truck that caused such a stir Carl nearly got lynched!

But that’s a different story. Now Carlos is back to his Mk.3 roots with the wild car you see here. Initially built to a 90s theme, this car was created by calling in favours, scouring eBay and, most importantly, born out of fun. The way it should be.
