As we count down to the first event of the 2008 season, excitement mounts! Registrations are growing a pace and we really advise you to get registered as soon as possible.
This event will be capped at 40 entries due to space restrictions. As you know, our judges are all volunteers and the sooner we know how may categories there are to judge the sooner we can recruit the right number of judges. If you are uncertain as to which category you should compete in, just drop an email to: kenny@emma-uk.co.uk If you need accommodation, Kenny is also your man as he has negotiated a special rate at a hotel nearby.
Proud To Be Loud
Its official, EMMA UK will open up an ESPL league at ISTS Donington in April. We will run six SPL events this year with league winners eligible to compete at the Euro finals in Austria at the end of October. This is a practical SPL league for musical cars which are street legal, so if your car weighs six tons and has to be transported by trailer to a competition it simply won’t win! Come on club cars, we hear you at all the shows, get yourself registered and see how you measure up! If you are committed to showing your car within your club stand, we can send our judges out to you to take the necessary measurements, offering you the best of both worlds!
European Super Cup
Team UK’s killer car is well under way. I have seen pictures of the work carried out to date and feel certain we can really make an impact on this event. The UK team, lead by Carlo Corbin, has worked tirelessly to create what we believe will be the winning install. Judging takes place at Sinsheim in April. Calling All Ears!
EMMA UK relies heavily on a bank of good judging talent. If you have good ears or experience of how to install Hi-fi in a safe manner and fancy lending a hand at events, we want to hear from you. Full training will be given but a diplomatic manner is essential.
Huge thanks go to Lee Frost, Jaz Suman and Carlo Corbin who travel to the EMMA European centre of excellence in Fichtelberg, Germany for this year’s Head judge training. This activity represents a huge investment in time and is absolutely vital in keeping the standard of UK judging in line with other European countries. Lee, Jaz and Carlo will be qualified to train local judges to current rule book standards.
Rulebooks and CD’s

Euro Finals
These will happen in Austria October 24th to 26th this year. The finals always draw a huge audience from all over Europe and there is a festival feel to the event. UK league winners and runners up gain automatic qualification and if you would like to come along to cheer our chaps on, drop Kenny a line (Kenny@emma-uk.com) in the first instance. If we get enough pledges of interest we will arrange travel and accommodation and maybe even bung you an official EMMA UK T-shirt to wear at the event.
