Virtual try before you buy bodyshop
Fancy seeing what car your looks like with your choice of mods before there actually fitted? Well this is one for you.
Some clever guys in Australia have set up a website called Autemo, where you can try out cosmetic mods before you buy them.
How? Well they run a kind of virtual bodyshop, where a group of talented photoshoppers can modify your car virtually. Cool eh?
Just hit the above thumbnails for a collection of their before and after work.
Whether you want to see what your ride looks like in a different colour, on new wheels, dropped on its arse, or a full blown multiple view digital render, these boys can do it all.
All you have to do is supply a picture of your car, a few pics of the mods you want, and some instructions on what you want. And voila, a virtual pic of your dream car could be yours in no time.
The service starts from as little as $10, and could save you a heap of hassle at the bodyshop, as they will know exactly what you want your project to look like. Awesome.
UK based Autemo designer Jack Davies told Fast Car: “What we do is help people who want to modify their car by getting our automotive artists to virtually modify the car to show exactly what your car will look like once modified.”
He added: “It's based on the premise that it's much easier to change your mind before you've gone to the effort of getting all the work done.”
One user from Autemo told us: "I'm well happy with the result and I'm sure the artwork will make it a lot easier for me to explain what I want when it goes into the bodyshop.”
